Abigail Allen, Of Counsel
Abigail is Of Counsel to Taylor Legal. She attended law school at the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, from which she graduated with honors and a certificate in business law. While in law school, Abigail worked in the Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship Clinic. During her time in the clinic, Abigail greatly enjoyed drafting contracts and communicating directly with clients to help them start and run small businesses.
After law school, Abigail joined the IRS Office of Chief Counsel, Corporate Division and then worked at a law firm in Baltimore, Maryland as a commercial real estate and transactional attorney.
Abigail is originally from Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated with honors from Truman State University, where she studied Philosophy and Religion and minored in French.
Outside of the practice of law, Abigail enjoys spending time with her wonderful husband, dog, and friends. Abigail loves to travel, hike, and read.
Responsibilities
Abigail works with business owners and entrepreneurs looking to start a business to make sure that they are set up for success. Abigail enjoys explaining legal concepts clearly and concisely to help clients make informed decisions.
For Fun
Abigail does yoga, runs (if you can even call it running), and loves to hike any time she can get out of the city and onto a trail. One of her goals is to go to as many national parks as possible. Abigail is also on a quest to find the world's best chocolate chip cookie recipe.
What You Probably Do Not Know
- Studied abroad in Angers, France for a semester in college, and was able to visit eight additional countries while in Europe; however, she will have to go back to France one day to tour the South.
- Is a champion of the Oxford comma and will use it every chance she gets.
- Prefers barbeque Kansas City style (not Texas dry rub or the vinegar-based barbeque of the Southeast).
- Has six siblings and a dozen nieces and nephews.
